February Papercraft Business Challenge: Love!

I am so excited to post my very first Papercraft Business Challenge! The theme for February was love, or hearts, so naturally I did both, writing about our baby girl and how much joy she brings to our lives.

Paper Issues January Sketch

Sliding home for Paper Issue's January sketch. I have very few photos of myself growing up, so this one of my dad on his birthday and I is extra special. I guess I *really* wanted to wear his birthday hat!

I have really been trying to power down on using up the 3 Amy Tangerine paper pads I bought from Tuesday Morning a couple of months ago. They are so easy to coordinate. They work well together, but also easily stand out!

Scraplift Sunday at Paper Issues

I apparently took LOTS of photos on our most recent Tucson trip (I just love this city!), and I had three remaining that were unscrapped. I used the scraplift sketch, turned it on its side, and voilà! Officially Tucson done!

Nerd for a day...

Stepping aside from the holidays, here's a layout from the epic Friends of the Library book sale last year in downtown Seattle. I found some bargains to read, and some gorgeous rares with which to decorate! I've been on a Joanna Gaines kick (because really, who hasn't?), so I knew I wanted some books with gorgeous covers to go in my bookshelf. Because who uses their bookshelf for actual reading books, right? (As mine currently live in my reading corner) I ended up lugging literal POUNDS of books in bags across downtown... Definitely felt like a nerd that day!

Aruba, Jamaica, OH I Wanna Take Ya

Okay, so maybe not any of those places, but we still got to vacation in GORGEOUS Dominican Republic. The waters were bright, the weather warm warm, and the people were so welcoming! Except for when Sean got a gun pulled on him! Buttttt, that's a story for another time *giggles*.

How do you relax?

Before you proceed, you must know one thing:  we are a family of bears. We eat, we sleep, we repeat. Of course, there are things in between, but our favorite and most cherished activity is hibernating indoors during the winter. Snuggling on a cold Sunday has become my most beloved thing to do with my little family - a huge, warm, fuzzy pile of love ♥️

What a better way to begin this CHILLY week in Seattle, than to document our nice and warm Tombstone, Arizona trip. I love how the embroidery floss reminds me of saddle stitching!

A love beyond words

My Cheedle-bear came into my life when I was 22. It was raining very hard that day, and my friend was driving me home, when she yelled, "Omg was that a dog?" We pulled over and saw the dirtiest, scraggliest little fuzz all we had ever seen cowering under a van. It wasn't until I heard a tiny growl come out that I knew she was very obviously a puppy still. I offered her some calamari, she came out, and we've been the best of friends for the past 11 years. She's seen me at my lowest point, and I truly consider her my best friend. ❤️
