Randomaniavilletonshire

Heyyy there! So anyone that knows me knows that my life just never stops moving! Sometimes I wonder how much more packed this blog would be if I actually kept a steady residence for more than a year... sigh. Well, in any case, I've taken my Konad and my stripers out of storage (at my new place there is ZERO. room. for. crafts.), and I've been reunited with my old longer, less bitten nails--due to the fact that I no longer work for Starbucks. So stoked! I've got a couple of designs so far.

So I've come to the conclusion that LA Colors works great with the plates, however, they are pretty sheer as you can see in my pictures, especially in the silver one. I had to try a few times before I got a good picture! In the future, when I'm crazy, I might actually shell out six or seven bucks for a bottle of China Glaze :p but until then, I'll just stick to what I got! Also this is about a month and a half old, but I knitted up a couple of weather wear items as well!
Yayyyyyyy thanks for looking! :D

Puppy Chronicles

Alright, so I know this has really nothing to do craft-wise, I just had to post pictures of my adorable Miss Harlow. Born on St. Patrick's Day, she was given to me through a co-worker who knew absolutely nothing about puppies. Apparently, her Chihuahua had had a late night visitor in the form of her neighbor's dog. ;x

And, knowing me, the one thing I cannot turn down in this life is a dog in need.

Alright, that's enough of that! Haha. I'm currently crate-training her, and she's done marvelously with that. (Compared to her older adopted sister, I'm loving it! And fully grateful :/) I'll try to get some more current pictures up of this lil cutie, and thanks for keeping posted!

Masquerade!

My friend Tiffany had a masquerade themed party for her birthday last year and never got around to posting the pictures of the two masks I had made for my friend Tabby and I. For one I attempted to make a light to dark glitter gradient with a pearl border and a respective feather gradient above the eyes, and for the other, I just painted, swirled a random design with glitter glue, and applied some stars under the eyes and a sequin border. The swirls were still wet when I took the pictures, but became completely flat after it was dry. :) It was fun, especially the playing with glitter part. Enjoy!

And here's us with Tiffany's GIANT gorgeous mask (no, she didn't make it, she purchased it lol)

BOWSSSSSSS

This is my newest project. I have so much fun manking these little guys that I think I might start selling them. Maybe for $1 for the smaller one and $2 for the mid size ones. They are basically just ribbon with embellishments that I paint or glue on. These are just some of the ones I've pumped out... more to come!

Ugly Christmas Sweater Party (Rated R)

Everyone has one of these right? Well unfortunately, I had never the opportunity to attend one of these gallant events. In fact, it was a show that my high school friends' band was headlining... anddddd since it just so happened to be in December, they asked people to come dressed in ugly Christmas sweaters. And of course me, last minute, had to work, so I rushed the best thing that came to mind, simply with crap I found around my house.

So, I give you... my sweater.

I'm so classy.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

omigosh i've been so so busy! i was reading my past posts on here, only to discover that the last one had been june 26th. i know, i know, ive' been so bad! but a person with two jobs and full time school should've known better than to get a crafting blog, right?

Cheap Way to Create Personalized Art

I found these little plaster letters at work. They were so cute and were on clearance for a dime each. So of course I bought them :/ I had been in desperate need of a fast craft. Having two jobs and being in summer school seemed to be taking its toll, and left no time for crafting. I instantly had a vision in my head to create a little personalized space for my doggie, Cheedles. Unfortunately, I only had like 4 different colors in acrylic paint. So I mixed and matched my little heart out to create this:

Luckily, one of the colors I did have was black, so all I had to do was mix one drop of it with the colors I did have (or somehow came up with) to create a darker shade for the backdrop of each letter. I did this to give the letters some dimension, and to make them "pop." Then after they were all dry, I sealed them with a couple coats of Mod Podge Sparkle. I swear, I'd coat my LIFE with this stuff if I could... I couldn't live without it! (Click for closeups!)

After everything was completely dry, I found some mounting tape that I had from a previous craft... it was maybe $3 for a whole pack. I chose an area right above my dog's bed, and now thus hangs my finished project!
